Reverb Tip: Not Obvious but Bigger + Calculation of Pre-Delay

What we try to do with Reverb is to not make the reverb obvious. We try to make instruments bigger with decay and pre-delay settings and not make it obvious.  It is also important to have this pre-delay set to the right tempo of the track.

Timing the Reverb to the track

  • 7,500 / BPM = pre-delay time in miliseconds
    • Divide by 2 for shorter times
    • Multiply by 2 for longer times

Tip: A setting of 20 ms for the pre-delay makes the reverb better on almost any track sound.
